Founded in 1990 by brothers-in-law Michael (Mike) Burks and Grady Richard (Ricky) Mordecai, Burks-Mordecai Builders, Inc. emerged in Columbus, MS, as a testament to their shared passion for construction. The business was formed with the belief that reputation, integrity, and responsibility still matter. In 2015, Ricky’s son, Jordan Mordecai, joined the family business, adding a fresh perspective and new energy to the team.

At the end of 2022, Mike Burks retired from the company, leaving the reins in the capable hands of Ricky Mordecai and his son, Jordan. Together, they lead a highly skilled team of professionals, dedicated to bringing exceptional projects to life. From large-scale developments to intricate renovations, we operate throughout Northeast Mississippi and Northwest Alabama, leaving a trail of satisfied clients in our wake.
